In Mainpuri, the cyber police arrested two vicious cyber criminals who stole crores of rupees from innocent people by opening fake GST by stealing PAN and Aadhaar data. SP gave information regarding the action. Told that 15 Aadhaar, 9 PAN cards, 17 fake SIM cards etc. have been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
SP Vinod Kumar said that Vikram Bhushan Mishra, resident of Parshuram Colony of the city, is a teacher by profession. He had lodged a complaint. It was told that he was continuously getting calls and messages from the Income Tax Department that by opening a firm he had made transactions worth crores of rupees. Tax related to this transaction has also not been paid. Upon enquiry, it was found that someone had made transactions worth crores of rupees by opening a fake firm in his name. On the complaint, the SP had given instructions to arrest those who evaded tax by opening fake GST firms.
Cyber police station on Thursday arrested Gurfan and Mohammad Junaid, residents of Ghantawali Gali, Firoz Nagar, Meerut. SP said that the police recovered 15 fake Aadhar cards, 9 fake PAN cards, 17 fake SIM cards, two mobiles and some cash from the possession of the arrested criminals. When questioned, it was told that they open fake GST firms by stealing PAN and Aadhaar data of common citizens. They cheat by evading GST by issuing fake bills. During police interrogation, the arrested accused also informed about defrauding many people of crores of rupees.
